Blue Arrow is looking for a full time Postal Delivery Driver to join a delivery office team in Inverness.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working independently, being outdoors and getting out into the local community.
The Role
Start at the local delivery office and sort mail for your route.
Drive a van around your delivery area.
Deliver letters and parcels to homes and businesses.
Complete parts of the delivery route on foot.
Use a handheld device to track deliveries.
Make sure letters and parcels reach their destination safely.
Provide a friendly and reliable service to customers.
Working Pattern
Full time.
9am to 4pm.
Five days from six.
Temporary contract with potential to become permanent.
The role involves driving, walking and working outdoors in all weather.
What We Are Looking For
Someone dependable and comfortable working independently.
You should be happy working outdoors and on foot as part of your delivery route.
You should also be comfortable working as part of the wider delivery team.
Essential
Full UK manual driving licence.
Maximum of six penalty points.
Driving licence held for at least six months.
Basic DBS or PVG check, with the cost covered by Blue Arrow.
Not Essential
Previous postal or delivery experience is not stated as a requirement.
