Highland Broadband is looking for a Community Engagement Officer to join its team across the West Highlands.
This role will suit someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships and working within communities to help improve digital connectivity across Argyll and Lochaber.
The Role
Build relationships with residents, businesses and community organisations.
Attend local events across the West Highlands.
Represent Highland Broadband within local communities.
Develop relationships with trusted local contacts.
Help communities understand the benefits of full fibre broadband.
Work with community councils, sports clubs, village halls and local businesses.
Manage your own diary and travel across the region.
Support the delivery of Highland Broadband’s community engagement strategy.
Contribute towards customer growth and community awareness.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Confidence building relationships with a wide range of people.
Ability to work independently.
Strong organisational skills.
A full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel extensively throughout rural areas.
An understanding of communities across Argyll and Lochaber.
Not Essential
Previous community engagement experience.
Sales or business development experience.
Knowledge of the telecommunications sector.
Training will be provided.
What Is On Offer
Salary of £30,000–£32,000.
Permanent position.
35 hour working week.
Company vehicle.
