Fishing Vessel Jennifer Marie OB9
This crew member role on board the Jennifer Marie OB9 offers hands on work at sea supporting a well established fishing operation supplying live wrasse to salmon farms.
Working in coastal waters on the west coast, this is a physically demanding role suited to reliable individuals comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.
The role
Assist with baiting, shooting and hauling fishing gear.
Handle, grade and care for live fish.
Operate deck equipment under instruction.
Carry out cleaning, maintenance and general deck duties.
Follow all safety, welfare and biosecurity procedures.
Working pattern
Full time hours.
Work involves long days at sea in varying weather conditions.
What we are looking for
Strong work ethic and a good attitude.
Comfortable working on a boat and at sea.
Ability to work long hours in all weather conditions.
Team player who follows instruction well.
Previous fishing or marine experience is helpful but not essential.
Basic Seafish tickets are an advantage.
Driving licence preferred.
Training can be provided for the right person.
