Commercial Archaeology Unit
Our small Archaeology business is in need of a small business, sole trader or new employee to provide administrative support.
We are looking for an organised, proactive, and confident communicator across phone, email, and Teams. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively. With admin experience and comfortable using Microsoft Office, Excel and knowledge of Xero would be a plus.
As a micro-business based in the Highlands we need someone to join our team who will enjoy a varied role and the opportunity to help our business develop and deliver a quality service.
Around 12 hours per week
(Salaries range from 23,000 – 30,000 pro rata dependent on experience)
Duties include:
Providing general administrative and business support across the company with some financial duties
Support company processes and ensure compliance with procedures and policies including our Legal Register
Preparing documents, reports, spreadsheets and other administrative information
Managing emails, correspondence, filing and general office documentation such as insurance renewals
Maintaining accurate company, project and supplier records
Supporting with purchase orders, supplier information and maintaining procurement records
Arrange external training and maintain company training systems
Enter audit/inspection data into systems/support data entry, filing, document control and record management activities
Liaise with clients, external stakeholders, suppliers and sub-contractors regarding compliances
Ensure confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately with some personnel duties
Essential Criteria:
- Previous administrative experience
- Friendly and open communicator
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and manage diverse tasks
- Experience using Microsoft software packages
Advantageous:
- Experience using Xero
- Understanding of company compliance requirements
- Cyber security skills
