Northern Sands Hotel
Northern Sands Hotel is looking for an experienced Hotel Manager to lead its team in Dunnet, Caithness.
The role would suit an experienced hospitality professional who is confident managing hotel, restaurant, bar and accommodation operations and enjoys taking responsibility for the complete guest experience.
The Role
Oversee the day to day operation of all hotel departments.
Manage reception and front of house operations.
Lead, motivate and support the training and development of the team.
Maintain high standards of presentation, service and professionalism.
Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally.
Resolve issues promptly and maintain service standards.
Manage staff rotas and day to day staffing requirements.
Complete end of day reports and cashing up procedures.
Oversee stock control and ordering.
Manage cellar operations.
Support social media activity, promotions and local marketing.
Assist with wedding and events planning.
Maintain high standards across the bar, restaurant and accommodation operations.
Working Pattern
Permanent position.
45 hours per week.
Includes weekend and evening working.
Hours may vary seasonally, with longer hours during summer and shorter hours during winter.
Based at Northern Sands Hotel in Dunnet, Caithness.
What We Are Looking For
At least five years’ experience in a similar hospitality management role.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Energetic, organised and adaptable approach.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Strong attention to detail.
Confident decision making and problem solving skills.
Competent IT skills.
Full driving licence.
Knowledge of licensing laws.
Experience using online booking and EPOS systems would be useful.
A personal licence would be preferred.
What Is On Offer
£35,000 to £45,000 per year depending on experience.
Permanent employment.
Opportunity to lead a 12 bedroom hotel in Dunnet, close to Dunnet Head and the NC500.
