Ardtornish Estate

Ardtornish Estate is looking for a Seasonal Ghillie to join its team on the Morvern peninsula.

This role will suit someone who enjoys working outdoors, has an interest in deer management and wants to gain valuable experience on a 26,000 acre Highland estate.

The Role

Assist the Head Stalker during the stag and hind stalking season.
Support the estate’s stag and hind cull programme.
Recover carcasses using an Argo.
Carry out larder duties.
Assist with general estate maintenance.
Support predator and goose control activities.
Work safely across hill and woodland environments.
Work independently and as part of a small estate team.

Working Pattern

Seasonal position.
From the beginning of September until the end of February.

What We Are Looking For

Essential

A full UK driving licence.
A practical and self motivated approach.
The ability to work independently.
The ability to work well within a small team.
A positive attitude towards outdoor work.

Not Essential

Argo certification.
Firearms Certificate.
Previous stalking experience.
Relevant countryside qualifications.
Training can be provided for the right candidate, including certification and conservation monitoring skills.
