The British Red Cross is looking for a Community Support Worker to join its Health and Care team, supporting people across the Inverness and Dingwall area to live safely and independently within their own homes and communities.
This is a permanent role for someone who is caring, practical and good with people, with opportunities to develop a long term career in health and social care.
As a Community Support Worker, you will provide personal, emotional and practical support to adults who may need additional help because of age, illness or vulnerability.
The role is about helping people maintain their independence, wellbeing and connection with their community while providing support tailored to their individual needs.
The Role
Provide personal, emotional and practical support.
Support people within their own homes and communities.
Assist with daily living tasks including bathing and dressing.
Help with meal preparation and medication.
Carry out welfare checks.
Support safety and wellbeing through appropriate risk assessments.
Work with health and social care professionals to provide consistent care.
Help people maintain as much independence as possible.
What We Are Looking For
Excellent communication skills.
Caring, patient and respectful approach.
Experience supporting people with physical, sensory or mental health needs.
Knowledge of community care resources and risk assessments.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
Right to work in the UK.
Willingness to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within three months of starting.

What Is On Offer
£24,479 per year.
35 hours per week.
Permanent contract.
