Gardener and Grounds Person

Blair Castle & Gardens is looking for a Gardener and Grounds Person to join its gardens team in Blair Atholl.

This role will suit someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining beautiful landscapes and wants to be part of one of Scotland’s most historic estates.

The Role

Maintaining the grounds of the caravan park and Blair Castle Gardens.
Operating commercial ride on and pedestrian mowers.
Using strimmers, hedge cutters and other grounds maintenance equipment.
Operating tractors, trailers and other plant machinery.
Maintaining beds and borders throughout the gardens.
Supporting landscaping and seasonal gardening projects.
Working to high presentation standards in a public visitor environment.
Helping ensure the estate grounds remain welcoming and well maintained.

What We Are Looking For

Essential
At least one year’s professional grounds maintenance or gardening experience.
Experience operating mowers, strimmers and other powered garden equipment.
A Full UK driving licence.
A professional and reliable approach.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Not Essential
Knowledge of machinery maintenance.
First Aid qualification.
PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates.
Hedge cutting experience.
Chainsaw experience.
