Hostelling Scotland is looking for a Hostel Assistant to join the team at Braemar Youth Hostel until 1 November 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, working as part of a team and living close to the Cairngorms National Park.
The Role
Welcome guests and provide a friendly reception service.
Manage guest check ins and check outs.
Handle customer enquiries.
Carry out cleaning and housekeeping duties.
Assist with basic catering tasks.
Support the smooth day to day running of the hostel.
Adapt to changing priorities during busy periods.
Working Pattern
Fixed term contract until 1 November 2026.
15 hours per week over 3 days.
This is a live out position.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
Excellent communication skills.
A positive and adaptable approach.
The ability to work well as part of a team.
Evidence of the right to work in the UK.
Not Essential
Previous hostel or hospitality experience.
