Highland Home Carers is looking for a full time Senior Carer to support the operational management of its South Highland Service in Inverness.
This role would suit an experienced care professional who can support colleagues, maintain high standards and provide direct care when required.
The Role
Support the operational management of the South Highland Service.
Help ensure care and support is safe, effective and person centred.
Support the Assistant Service Manager and Service Manager.
Maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments, records and electronic systems.
Support the review and implementation of person centred care and support plans.
Oversee medication orders, stock control, storage, administration and recording.
Coach and support staff in medication management, safe practice and record keeping.
Complete medication competencies and practical observations.
Identify and escalate safeguarding, health and safety and service quality concerns.
Contribute to audits, quality monitoring and service improvement.
Liaise with NHS services, social work and other partner agencies.
Support the induction, shadowing and development of new staff.
Provide direct care and support when required.
Working Pattern
Permanent.
Full time.
Flexible working patterns may be required to meet the needs of the service.
Participation in on call duties is required.
What We Are Looking For
Someone capable of supporting both the people using the service and the colleagues delivering their care.
You should be organised, practical and comfortable taking responsibility while maintaining a person centred approach.

Full and valid UK driving licence.
SSSC registration.
Ability to understand and work with risk assessments.
Willingness to complete Highland Home Carers induction and ongoing training.
Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK as sponsorship is not available.
