M&D Green Pharmacy is looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join the team at its Great Glen Pharmacy in Drumnadrochit.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people and wants to develop a career in pharmacy, with further training and development available.
The Role
Assist with the assembly and supply of medications.
Help ensure prescriptions are processed correctly.
Handle over the counter sales.
Speak with and assist patients.
Receive and process orders coming into the pharmacy.
Maintain appropriate stock levels.
Keep records to support the Pharmacist.
Support the safe and legal supply of prescription and over the counter medications.
Prepare prescriptions and maintain medication supplies.
Provide information to patients and other healthcare professionals.
Advise patients about free NHS services for which they may be eligible.
Receive prescription orders.
What We Are Looking For
Someone flexible who can communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
You should have basic computer skills and be willing to develop your knowledge and qualifications in pharmacy services.
Essential
Basic computer skills.
Good communication skills.
Hold or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
Not Essential
Previous pharmacy experience is desirable.
A Dispensing Assistant qualification, or currently working towards one, is desirable.
A valid UK driving licence is desirable.
