NHS Highland is looking for a Community Staff Nurse to join the South Skye Community Team based at Broadford Medical Centre.
This permanent role offers an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to develop their community nursing experience while helping people across South Skye receive high quality care and remain independent in their own homes wherever possible.
The Role
Deliver high quality, person centred community nursing care.
Work closely with patients, their families and carers.
Support people to maintain their independence and remain at home wherever possible.
Help manage and support patients living with long term conditions.
Work as part of the District Nursing Service.
Collaborate with colleagues across the wider integrated health and social care team.
Use appropriate clinical skills to meet the needs of patients in the community.
Work both independently and as part of the wider team.
Working Pattern
Permanent.
36 hours per week.
Based within the South Skye Community Team at Broadford.
Community based working is required.
A pool car may be available, although use of a personal vehicle is required.
What We Are Looking For
Registered Nurse.
Sound knowledge of clinical skills relevant to community nursing.
Experience in the management of long term conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated team.
Good organisational skills.
An adaptable approach to work.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
Full UK driving licence.
Access to a personal vehicle when required.
What Is On Offer
Band 5 salary of £34,544 to £43,039.
Permanent employment.
36 hours per week.
