Scot JCB is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join its team covering the Caithness area.
This role will suit an experienced plant or agricultural engineer who enjoys working independently, solving problems and delivering excellent service directly to customers.
The Role
Carry out repair and maintenance work on customer sites.
Diagnose faults and complete repairs to manufacturer standards.
Work on plant machinery and associated equipment.
Complete service reports, job cards and timesheets using digital systems.
Order parts and liaise closely with the parts department.
Work with the Service Supervisor to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
Identify and report any defective or unsafe equipment.
Provide a professional and reliable service to customers.
Travel throughout the area as required.
Undertake occasional overnight stays in Orkney and other remote locations.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
Relevant engineering qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ or SVQ.
Experience working with plant machinery, diesel engines, hydraulics and electrics.
Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
Good IT skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
Positive and flexible approach to work.
Not Essential
Agricultural engineering experience.
Previous experience working within a field service role.
