Hostelling Scotland is looking for a Hostel Assistant to join the team at Cairngorm Lodge Youth Hostel.
This role will suit someone who enjoys meeting people, working as part of a team and helping guests make the most of Scotland’s outdoor places.
The Role
Provide a full reception service for hostel guests.
Welcome guests and support check in and check out.
Respond to customer enquiries in a friendly and helpful way.
Carry out cleaning and housekeeping duties.
Assist with basic catering tasks.
Support the smooth day to day running of the hostel.
Adapt to changing workloads during busy periods.
Work closely with colleagues to provide a good guest experience.

Essential
Good communication skills.

Right to work in the United Kingdom.
Not Essential
Previous hostel or hospitality experience.
Previous reception experience.
Previous housekeeping experience.
What Is On Offer
£13 per hour.
22.5 hours per week.
Fixed term contract until 18 October 2026.
