CrossReach is looking for a Senior Care Worker to join the team at The Walter & Joan Gray in Shetland.
This is a hands on care role with additional leadership responsibilities, supporting residents while helping colleagues deliver consistently high standards of person centred care.
The Role
Support residents with personal care and everyday living activities.
Lead shifts and coordinate the delivery of care.
Mentor and support less experienced colleagues.
Administer medication safely and accurately.
Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond when their needs change.
Contribute to assessments, care plans and reviews.
Maintain accurate records.
Help ensure procedures and required standards are followed.
Working Pattern
Full time.
38.5 hours per week.
Permanent.
Based at The Walter & Joan Gray in Shetland.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
Previous experience working in a care setting.
Strong understanding of person centred care.
SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare.
SVQ Level 4 qualification or willingness to work towards it.
Membership of the PVG Scheme and completion of the required vetting checks.
Registration with the SSSC.
Christian faith and ability to work within and uphold CrossReach’s Christian ethos.
Organised and dependable approach.
Confidence supporting colleagues while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
Right to work in the UK.
Not Essential
An existing SVQ Level 4 is not essential if you are willing to work towards the qualification.
