The National Trust for Scotland is looking for Visitor Services Assistants to join the team at Glenfinnan Monument & Visitor Centre, one of Scotland’s most iconic historic locations.
With full time and part time opportunities available, this is a varied role combining visitor services, retail, catering and the chance to share the stories of Glenfinnan with visitors from around the world.

Visitor Services Assistants play an important role in creating a memorable experience for everyone visiting Glenfinnan.
You could find yourself welcoming visitors on arrival, working in the shop or catering outlets, helping people explore the historic Monument or sharing the stories that make Glenfinnan such a remarkable place.

The Role

Welcome visitors and provide excellent customer service.
Help visitors make the most of their time at Glenfinnan.
Share information and stories about the site.
Work across the shop, catering outlets, arrival areas and Monument.
Serve customers and operate tills accurately.
Replenish retail and catering displays.
Promote relevant products, services and National Trust for Scotland membership.
Help maintain clean and welcoming public areas.
Assist with events and functions.
Work closely with colleagues across the site.
Help gather photographs and videos for social media where required.
Follow health, safety and environmental procedures.

What We Are Looking For

Essential
Warm and welcoming approach to visitors.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible approach to different duties and working patterns.
Good time management and attention to detail.
Enthusiasm for the work of the National Trust for Scotland.

No formal educational qualifications are required and relevant training will be provided.

Desirable
Previous experience in a customer facing role.
Strong front of house skills.
An interest in storytelling and creating memorable visitor experiences.
Sales or retail experience.

What Is On Offer

£14.12 per hour.
Full time and part time opportunities.
Seasonal contracts available.
Staff accommodation may be available to rent, subject to availability.

There may also be opportunities for contracts between November and March, subject to a separate selection process in September 2026.
